A Austro-Hungarian enineer, Günther Burstyn, designed a "land-ship" vehicle in 1911, which was tailored to cross trenches of all sizes. provide infantry support and crush the ever present barbed wire entanglements.  This was the Burstyn Motorgeschütz. It was relatively small, with a fully revolving turret and potentiollay armed with a light 37 or 47 mm gun, and a crew of two. The patentable aspects of this experimental design were the articulated arms linked to the rear and front axles that could deployed to brigde gaps, assist in trench crossing, and "push down" barbed wire. . Basically, these arms were raised when crossing bad terrain to avoid being stuck in obstacles, and lowered on the ground to allow trench crossing.

First ever 1/35 scale model of possibly the world's first modern design of a tank by Burstyn. The model featured is the 1912 pattern which incorporated tracks and elevated sprocket and idler return roller.
