240mm Trench mortar developed by France and used by or copied by numerous nations. The predominant French design incorporated two very large nested wooden frame platforms  for deploying the mortar which required several carts and 24 hours to set up. The USAEF developed a metal tub platform with wheels to make the mortar very easily moved and deployed.
